3 weeks passes by way too quickly when you are having fun, that’s how we feel about my father’s leave from work. He has to return to DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) this afternoon, in fact as I sit and write this he is on his way to the airport. We didn’t go because I know it’ll be too hard for everybody to see him leave.
The house suddenly feels empty without him, without him goofing around with Alex, without his never-ending teasing and joking around. As much as we wish he could stay, his leave is over and he have to go back to work. Duty calls and we are thankful that we had a chance to spend a really beautiful 3 weeks with him especially to allow him to see Alexander again before we go to China. There’s nothing more beautiful than to see your father hold your son, knitting a lifetime of bonding between them. He will return to Jakarta in 9 weeks, it’s not easy to be away from him but we could only pray God will take good care of him and keep him safe at all time while he’s doing his job. Please oh Lord, keep him healthy and safe.
